Julie Young, Board Member

Julie Young is currently a Psychometrist at Post Trauma Resources, as well as a parent to an eighth grade theatre student at MAC. Her secondary education includes a BA in Education from Columbia College. She has been employed as a public-school teacher, adult education teacher and currently a Psychometrist. Julie has served on multiple boards over the last ten years. She served on the Executive PTO board for Pontiac Elementary School from 2009 through 2014 as Volunteer Coordinator and Board CoChair. She also served on the Executive Board for the South Carolina Chapter of Partners for the Americas from 2010 until 2016, including Board Secretary for two years. For the last six years, Julia has also served on the SC DDSN Midlands Center Human Rights Board, including four years as the board chair. She is passionate about helping advance the mission of MAC because it is not only important to her and her child, but because it’s so important to promote art in the community. Julie is a voice on the board for the parents, teachers and administration.
